Architectural Wearable Design

Nersi is a collaborative fashion project developed at Arian Hakimi Design (AHD), a studio founded by Arian Hakimi, former Lead Designer at Zaha Hadid Architects. The project explored how architectural thinking, geometry, and folding could be translated from spatial concepts into forms that respond to the human body.

As part of the design team, my contribution focused on developing origami-based structures through a bottom-up design process. The research moved from geometric and textile studies to conceptual sketching and 1:1 physical prototypes, examining how lines, folds, proportion, and movement could generate garment structures rather than simply decorate them.

These experiments were further developed through CLO3D garments and digital simulations, allowing the relationship between structure, material, and body to be tested before production. I also coordinated with manufacturers during the development process, contributing to the translation of experimental concepts into producible wearable pieces.

The resulting collection sits at the intersection of fashion, architecture, and folding research, treating the body as a spatial framework through which geometric ideas can become material, movement, and form.
