Origami Glasses Case
Developed through paper-folding experiments and geometric studies, this origami-based object explores how a flat surface can transform into a protective three-dimensional volume.
Constructed from a single rectangular surface with minimal material waste, the structure expands and collapses through its folded geometry. The internal folds create separate protective layers that reduce contact between the eyewear lenses and temples, allowing function to emerge directly from the folding system.
The same structure can also adapt from an eyewear case into a passport holder, extending the object beyond a single use. The project reflects an ongoing investigation into folding as a design method in which geometry, material behaviour and everyday interaction collectively determine form and function.
