Folded Heritage

Inspired by geometric patterns found in Iranian architecture, this project investigates how historical visual systems can be translated into contemporary forms through folding and material experimentation. Starting with pattern analysis and geometric reconstruction, I transform architectural structures into origami-based textile forms. Rather than treating these patterns as decoration, I approach them as intelligent systems capable of generating new relationships between form, function, and material. The resulting studies informed the development of a foldable textile bag, reinterpreting architectural geometry as a living language for contemporary design.
